About the Journal

The Latinamerican and Caribbean Journal of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (BLACPMA), published by MS-Editions, is an international bimonthly publication that features original peer-reviewed research in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants, with nearly 20 years of history. BLACPMA is a scientific journal that publishes two types of articles: Reviews (in English only) and Original Articles (in Spanish or English). Its main areas of focus include agronomy, anthropology and ethnobotany, industrial applications, botany, quality and standardization, ecology and biodiversity, pharmacology, veterinary medicine, and clinical trials of natural products (metabolites) and extracts from medicinal plants, as well as phytochemistry, pharmacognosy, and regulatory aspects. While all areas related to medicinal plants are welcome, the experimental approaches used can be broad and interdisciplinary; other areas of research not mentioned are subject to acceptance by the Editorial Committee based on their importance and impact.
